Christmas Movies and Where to Find Them

Spread the love

It’s the holiday season, which means it’s time to start streaming all of our favorite Christmas movies and holiday films! The only issue being, we usually have to dig through each service to find that ONE specific film we’re looking for. Well, have no fear! I created this handy list so you don’t have to waste time scrolling through the endless depth of each streaming service. Let’s go down the list and see which streaming service has each of our favorite Christmas movies and holiday films this year!

Just as a bit of a heads up, these services all have a LOT to choose from if you want to stream Christmas movies, with the majority being original or lesser-known stories. If you’re into streaming Christmas movies of that sort, then you’ll have endless options to choose from. But, if you’re strictly looking for the classics or family favorites, that’s where this list comes in.

This list is composed of every Christmas movie or holiday film that I was able to recognize while scrolling through the library of each streaming service. As I said before, there are quite literally mountains of original Christmas movies and/or holiday films to choose from on each streaming service; if that’s your kinda thing.

Peacock

Peacock also has a section notably devoted to Hanukkah content, separated by actor/actress, or by individual SNL clips!

They also have the classic version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas, but unfortunately, it’s something you have to upgrade for. If you don’t happen to catch it on tv, I recommend checking to see if your local library has the DVD available to rent!

HBO Max

Hulu

Netflix

Amazon Prime

Disney Plus

As you can see, HBO Max and Disney Plus have the largest variety of recognizable Christmas movies to stream. Netflix has a LOT of Christmas movies and holiday films to choose from, even their own Christmas Universe. I like to remind people that Peacock is free (although it does have content you’d have to pay for access to), and they also have a selection of lesser-known Christmas movies and holiday films.

If I can recommend just one film from this list for the season, it’s The Holiday. It’s one of my all-time favorite Christmas movies, and you can find it on Hulu this holiday season. It’s delightful in the best ways, and makes me feel like my face is going to crack in half from smiling so much.
