OPI x Xbox: The Ultimate Spring Nail Polish Collection for Gamers

Spread the love

If you’re looking for some pastel nail inspiration, or perhaps some spring nails for 2022, you’ve come to the right place! Recently I was scrolling Reddit and someone mentioned that Xbox and OPI had done a collaboration. As someone who does their nails at home every week the colors drew me in, and I soon found myself on their site.

Spring Nails 2022: The OPI Xbox Collection

I fell head over heels in love with the shade “Achievement Unlocked”. There’s nothing else like it in my collection, and it’s so perfect for spring nails or summer nails. I don’t actually own an Xbox (I play the majority of my games on PC, I have a Playstation for the exclusives, and a Switch because, duh.)

Achievement Unlocked is a gorgeous pastel purple, that’s shiny and lustrous without being shimmery or glittery. I realize $10 can be a lot for one bottle of nail polish, but for the quality, I’m personally happy with it (I’ve gotten multiple compliments on my nails both on IG and IRL).

Spring Nail Inspiration: Racing for Pinks

The other non-shimmer shade that caught my eye was “Racing for Pinks”. It looks like the perfect shade of pink to match my PC setup, so next time around I’ll definitely be making a purchase! I just needed to confirm first that I didn’t already have a shade that was too similar to it (hopefully I’m not the only one who has accidentally bought too-similar shades before).

If you’re a fan of pastel pink that isn’t too light to be seen, I recommend this color. Just like the others, beautiful and versatile where it can be worn for spring or summer (or whenever you’d like, I can’t tell you what to do!).

Spring Nail Inspiration: The Pass is Always Greener

For those who are looking for a trendy pop of green, there’s the shade “The Pass is Always Greener”. This is also on my list next, as I can truly say I don’t have any other shades like it. This pastel green reminds me of Shrek (and I mean that as a compliment, Shrek is a classic).

Green seems to be pretty in this year, so this could be a good shade to add to your collection if you’re lacking in green! While it’s not the traditional Halo spartan green, it is a lovely shade to have on deck that gives off Xbox logo green vibes.

The OPI Xbox Collection: Nail Inspiration for Gamer Girls (and Others)

I gotta tell ya, I really like this collection. If I had the money, I’d buy every shade! Sage Simulation and Can’t Ctrl Me are beautiful pastel blues, You Had Me at Halo is a double whammy with its blue/purple color and riff on a Jerry Maguire quote (which it gets bonus points for doing). Pixel Dust is a delightfully glittery pink, as is its more subdued sister, Quest for Quartz.

If you’re a gamer (or a gamer at heart) who enjoys nail polish, I’d recommend picking your favorite shade if you can and buying it. I’ve already gotten a ton of compliments on my nails since using Achievement Unlocked, and knowing that it’s part of a gaming collection makes me happy every time I look at them.
