From the Silver Screen to Your Closet: The Holiday Outfits You Need to Try

Spread the love

The Holiday is a Christmas classic you might not have even heard of. I’m here today to tell you how you can use this film for inspo for your aesthetic winter outfits this year. While I would love to make this a fully immersive experience by running off to England to write this, unfortunately, (or fortunately, for those who are wishing for warmer weather)I’m stuck in south Florida for the holidays.

For those of us in warmer climates (like yours truly) our aesthetic winter outfits might look a little different, but for now, I’ll pretend we all get to dress like it’s a winter wonderland outside. This article will focus on outfits worm by Cameron Diaz’s character Amanda because for whatever reason there’s a shortage of outfit photos for Iris, Kate Winslet’s character. But, c’est la vie! Pop The Holiday on, make some popcorn, grab your beverage of choice, and let’s get going!

The Holiday Outfit #1

Starting off with an indoor look, here’s Cameron Diaz’s character in some comfy yet chic loungewear. You can find the outfit breakdown here:

Next time you want to lounge indoor with a bottle of wine and some good music while the snow falls, this is the perfect enter aesthetic outfit for you. While the sweater is not exact, it is the closest I could find. Combine with your favorite playlist, drink of your choice, and everything else you’d like for a party of one.

The Holiday Outfit #2

Now for an outdoor outfit! You can never go wrong with a classic turtleneck and some leather gloves when dealing with snow. While her exact coat wasn’t available (unless you wanted to order a replica for a good chunk of change) I was able to find something similar. Outfit details:

If you have to drag your suitcase in the snow to your rented holiday cabin, why not do it in style? While not the most practical option, you’ll certainly look good on your trek. In all honestly, I hope one day I get to wear my own version of this outfit while trekking to my holiday cottage in the English countryside for some much-needed rest and relaxation.

Holiday Outfit Inspo All Winter Long

Keep an eye on my blog for more winter looks as we get into the season, I’ve got a few more in progress already! If you’d like to save these images you can do so on Pinterest here. For more pop culture style content and a dash of daily motivation, you can follow me on Instagram and Tiktok as well.

If there’s a winter/holiday movie you love please let me know and I’ll add it to the list! I’m always on the lookout for films with great style that I can emulate (or wish I could emulate) for my backlog.
