Starbucks at Home: Fall Drink Recipes Straight From The Source

With the return of fall comes the return of pumpkin-spiced everything season. If you yearn for a PSL from the comfort of your own home, fret not! These are the official recipes Starbucks has on their site, no guessing games here, just straight-up recipes for fall favorite Starbucks drinks at home.

Pumpkin Whipped Cream Cold Brew

  • Ingredients:
    • Pumpkin Spice Syrup
      • 1½ cups sugar
      • 1½ cups water
      • 6 cinnamon sticks (each stick is ½ tsp ground cinnamon)
      • 1 tsp ground cloves
      • 1 tsp ground ginger
      • 2 tsp ground nutmeg
      • 4 Tbsp pumpkin purée
  • Pumpkin Whipped Cream Cold Brew
    • 4 oz Starbucks® Cold Brew Signature Black Concentrate
    • 4 oz water
    • 2 tsp homemade Vanilla Syrup (or storebought)
    • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
    • 2 tsp sugar
    • 3 Tbsp Homemade Pumpkin Spice Syrup
    • 1 pinch nutmeg (garnish)
  • How to Make Starbucks Homemade Pumpkin Spice Syrup
    • Combine sugar and water in saucepan and bring to a simmer.
    • Once sugar is dissolved, add cinnamon sticks, ground cloves, ginger, nutmeg and pumpkin purée, and let simmer for 20 minutes.
    • Remove from heat and immediately strain through cheesecloth.
  • Makes enough syrup for 8 beverages. Keeps up to 7 days in the fridge.
  • How to Make Starbucks Pumpkin Whipped Cream Cold Brew
    • Pour cold brew coffee into a glass with ice, add water and stir.
    • Add vanilla syrup, stir.
    • In chilled mixing bowl, vigorously whisk heavy whipping cream, sugar and Homemade Pumpkin Spice Syrup to desired thickness (2 to 5 minutes). Layer Pumpkin Whipped Cream over the top of cold brew to taste.
    • (Optional) Sprinkle ground nutmeg on top.

Pumpkin Spice Latte

  • Ingredients:
    • Homemade Pumpkin Spice Syrup
      • 1½ cups sugar
      • 1½ cups water
      • 6 cinnamon sticks (each stick is ½ tsp ground cinnamon)
      • 1 tsp ground cloves
      • 1 tsp ground ginger
      • 2 tsp ground nutmeg
      • 4 Tbsp pumpkin purée
  • Pumpkin Spice Latte
    • 1 cup whole milk
    • 1 oz brewed Starbucks® Espresso Roast or Starbucks® by Nespresso® Espresso Roast
    • 3 Tbsp Homemade Pumpkin Spice Syrup
    • ½ cup whipped cream
    • 1 pinch pumpkin pie spice (garnish)
  • How to Make Starbucks Homemade Pumpkin Spice Syrup
  • Combine sugar and water in saucepan and bring to a simmer.
  • Once sugar is dissolved, add cinnamon sticks, ground cloves, ginger, nutmeg and pumpkin purée, and let simmer for 20 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and immediately strain through cheesecloth.

  • How to Make Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte
  • Heat and froth milk in a Nespresso® Aeroccino frother. (or other frother)
  • Brew Starbucks® Espresso Roast in an espresso machine or stovetop moka pot, or brew a Starbucks® by Nespresso® Espresso Roast capsule in a Nespresso® machine.
  • Place Homemade Pumpkin Spice Syrup into a mug, followed by hot espresso. Stir together.
  • Fill mug with heated frothed milk until ¾ full, then top with whipped cream.
  • Sprinkle with pumpkin pie spice!

Salted Caramel Apple Crafted Coffee

  • Ingredients
    • Salted Caramel Apple Syrup
      • ½ cup light brown sugar (loosely packed)
      • ¾  cup water
      • 1 cup apple sauce
      • ¾ cup caramel sauce
      • ¼  tsp cinnamon
      • Dash of ground cloves
      • ¼ tsp salt
    • Salted Caramel Apple Coffee​
      • 6 oz brewed Starbucks® Fall Blend K-Cup® Pods (or ground coffee)
      • 3 Tbsp Salted Caramel Apple Syrup
      • 4 oz whole milk
      • Whipped cream for garnish
      • Caramel drizzle for garnish
      • Dash of ground cinnamon for garnish
      • Rolled vanilla wafer cookie for garnish

  • How to Make Starbucks Salted Caramel Apple Syrup
  • Stir together loosely packed brown sugar and water in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer over low heat.
  • Once sugar is dissolved, add cinnamon, ground cloves, salt and apple sauce. Let simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat. Strain through fine mesh strainer into a bowl until all liquid has dripped through. Gently stirring can help the liquid pass through the strainer.
  • Stir in caramel sauce while the sugar mixture is still warm.
  • Store in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 7 days.

  • How To Make Starbucks Salted Caramel Apple Coffee
  • Add Salted Caramel Apple Syrup to a 12-oz mug.
  • Brew 6 oz of Starbucks® Fall Blend directly into the mug. Stir.
  • Froth 4 oz whole milk using your desired method for warm frothing. Once frothed, add to the mug.
  • Top with any (or all) of the following: whipped cream, a drizzle of caramel, a dusting of cinnamon or a rolled vanilla wafer cookie for stirring.
